Mt. Ibuki
This year is the year of the Olympics, and since July 22nd to 25th was a four-day holiday, I went to Mt. Ibuki, which I had always wanted to visit, on July 24th.
The four consecutive holidays were blessed with good weather, and this day was also a perfect day for a resort. It is open all night on the weekend of July and August, and although the Ibukiyama Driveway itself, which leads to the summit, closes at 21:00, but it was possible to stay at the summit by staying in the car.
On this day, I left my house after 9 o'clock AM, arrived at Ibukiyama Driveway in about 2 hours using the highway, then ran Ibukiyama Driveway for about 20 minutes and drove to the Sky Terrace parking lot near the mountaintop. We stopped our car and walked from there to the summit for about 30 minutes, and arrived at the summit at 12:30.

The area around the mountaintop was cool and really pleasant because it was cloudy on that day, but it became a little hot when the clouds cleared up from around 13:00 and the sun came out. There were also various alpine plants on the mountain trail, and pretty flowers were in bloom.
After that, go down the Ibukiyama Driveway to Sekigahara at the foot of the mountain. Sekigahara was the place I came to just a year ago, but at this time the Sekigahara Ancient Battlefield Memorial Hall, which was still under construction, was open, so I took a break from the cafe here.
On the way back, run along the eastern shore of Lake Biwa on the lower road without using the highway, and return via Ishiyama. On the way, I took a break at Al Plaza Kyotanabe, had a supper, and arrived home after 21:00. I was so tired that I fell asleep, but it was a very enjoyable day.
