During this year's Golden Week, a state of emergency was issued and instructions were given to refrain from moving across prefectures, so I ended up spending a week relaxing at home and in the neighborhood of my house. I thought about staying at a campsite near my house for about one night, but all the campsites were closed, and the riverbed park, barbecue area and parking lot were all closed. The use of the riverbed itself was not prohibited, so the weather was fine on May 3rd and 4th and I went to the riverbed park near my house by bicycle, set up a tent, read a book, and had a cup of tea, spending time playing catch. With the third wave of corona coming, I checked what the current situation is. Domestic situation

I have been experiencing a hotel life in another area for about 1 month. It was due to the coronavirus. My branch's main office is at Osaka and backup-location is at another area which is not used in an ordinary situation. And in case some employees catch the coronavirus, we have started this business continuity plan that means some employees move to this area, staying at hotel and working at this office for a certain period of time. My turn was started on 27 April. I don't want to eat a lunch box or eat outside every time so I decided to buy food materials that can be cooked using a microwave oven because there are no cooking devices at a business hotel except microwave oven. And I'm very surprised that there are many varieties of such foods at convenience stores or supermarkets like AEON. My ordinary dinner is like  - 1/2 package of vegetables (1 package cost 100yen)  - two packages of foods (each cost around 100-200 yen)  - rice (200g)  - miso soup  

Today was terrible, very tired day. This morning, earthquake happend at 7:58 AM. It was 6 weak degree in Japanese indication and big earthquake. In japan, earthquake is not rare but Osaka is second biggest city and it was a big earthquake. I was on the way to Kobe and was at JR Osaka station and waited at platform. Suddenly platform was shaken and everybody sat down. And all trains were stopped. I had waited until noon at Osaka station, sitting at station stairs. But train were stopped except a few under subways. My office is at kobe, west from Osaka about 30 km and almost impossible to go there so I changed to Osaka office by subway. After contacting to kobe office by telephone, e-mail, I came back to my home after working time. At that time, I could take a keihan train to our home so I could go back to my home. We had an air-conditioner which seldom been used for about 10 years since we build our home, so we planned to move it to another room. And yesterday, repairer of air-conditioner has come and checked it and find that there are nest of bee near the outdoor unit. So this movement work was cancelled due to danger. ( The repairer said that this air-conditioner is 10 years old so it is better not to move it because it'll often been broken down in 1 year for its removal so I decided to buy new one.) I searched remover of nest via internet and find this company  and called about 9 AM today and called back soon. And remover has come about 0:30 PM.  Checking the nest, it is a nest of yellow long-legged wasp. They said that it is the second dangerous bee to hornet. Basic price is \6800 but it need extra money(about \10,000 for their protection and their safety against bee, it depends on bee's type). Now is Friday night and this week was very hard time for me. I slept about 4 hour per night almost everyday so I felt very sleepy and very tired. Here osaka is not affected this earthquake and tsunami, but we related very close to the area of tokyo and function of tokyo is very damaged by the plan of stopping power supply, so we must check how much effect we are if power supply of tokyo area is stopped. And like this, this week was finished. (and Japan's fiscal year is closed at March, so those two factor is mixed to boost our work!). Next day (sat.), I must go to office so I sleep now and refresh my brain. But compared with people suffered from tsunami and earthquake and refugees from fukushima pref. where atomic power plant is located, we must thank to our happiness.

Today(monday) was very busy day, because today was the first working day since last Friday. Our company is located at Kansai district(west japan), but part of our office is located at Tokyo and part of our system is related to the system located at Tokyo, so we checked how much influences if power supply at Tokyo district would be shut down. But some of employee (including related company's employee) couldn't go to office because of train's stopping at Kanto district so it was difficult to get the information. Company like us located far from kanto was such situation, so company located at kanto(around tokyo) area might be terrible, I think. And today, another atomic power plant was exploded, so it was very seriou situation. I have some acquaintances at Tohoku area, so I am worried about their safety.

On Friday afternoon, big earthquake had occured. I worked at office at Osaka. At first, next branch's team used TV conference to Tokyo office and tokyo team said earthquake had occured, and a few seconds later, we felt earthquake. Our office is at 11th floor and swing was very big so we felt very awful if our building was collapsed. It was about 2:30 PM. Afterthat, we switched our TV on and saw what happend in Japan, so our work had almost stopped afterthat. (safely, my house in Osaka and my parents and brother and sister's house in Shizuoka-pref. was safe) Magnitude 8.8 was very huge. Newspapers said it is the biggest magnitude earthquke in japan since authority had a record. Our hometown shizuoka was said to be occurd big earthquake since I was a child 30-40 years ago, so we had many training since i was a junior school, so at first I thought that earthquake at shizuoka had finally happend !
