Kongosan

This summer vacation was nine days from August 7th to 15th, but after an unusual heavy rain and Corona's state of emergency, I ended up spending most of my time at home. However, since it was a break in the rain on August 11th and I happened to go to the southern part of Osaka, we decided to go a little further and go hiking on Mt. Kongo.

Arrived at the parking lot of Mt. Kongo around 14:30, we started climbing with a little hiking feeling like Mt. Ibuki the other day, but it was quite hard. It is true that the road is paved, but the mountain trail is quite steep, and since I was relaxing at home during the holidays, my physical strength was weakened, and after walking for 30 minutes, it became almost swaying. Oops. Still, I managed to reach the summit in about 50 minutes. From the front of the mountaintop, the slope became gentle and my breath became quite calm.

There are rest areas and an observatory near the summit, and the view from the summit was very good.

After that, we came to ChihayaAkasaka village, so we decided to see the famous rice terraces (Tanada) here. This place was selected as one of the 100 best rice terraces in Japan, and it was a place I once wanted to visit. It was small and very nice.
