Goldsmith College, UK

Image
When I was a graduated student, I went to London and enjoyed summer school at Goldsmith college for about a month, because I wanted to spend good time at that period. Goldsmith college was located near New Cross station and I stayed at dormitory of this college, because at summer time, dormitory was empty due to the summer vacation time. And I happened to watch Flickr yesterday and search the word "New Cross", then found Goldsmith College's & around this area's picture and felt longing for this town. New Cross is located about half an hour from central London by train, so it is very convenient place to go around central London. And this town is not so big (in another saying, feel a little deserted-looking), so I enjoyed the fist experience of abroad in a relaxing mode, so I liked this town very much. If you see this picture , you can see the dormitory(*) where I stayed about 20 years ago, so I am deeply moved. (*) UK's college is started at September, s

Rosanjin's universe

I got a ticket for "Rosanjin's Universe" which is being held at Daimaru Museum KYOTO until March 19th, so I went for a walk. Personally, I didn't expect much, but it was better than I expected.  There were pottery plates and paintings, but I felt that the bamboo folding screen paintings that he casually drew with ink painting were really good because he was a calligrapher.  Also, he seems to have loved Mino ware and Bizen ware, but Bizen ware was impressive with a plate that roughly expressed the redness of the soil.  →  Mainichi Newspapers  ,  Daimaru Museum KYOTO This (  Beauty Hall of Fame exhibition built by Osaka people  ) is an exhibition held at the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts last year (December 24th).  I went there because I got a ticket

Musée d'Orsay Exhibition

Yesterday,  I saw  the  Musée d'Orsay exhibition "19th Century Artists' Paradise"  (  introduced on the Kobe City Museum website  ).  I think the  Kobe City Museum  is the  first in two years since  the  Vermeer exhibition  . I happened  to see the  "Maria Theresia and Schönbrunn Palace Exhibition"  at  the  Museum  of  Kyoto the  other day,  and the contents of the exhibition were much more fulfilling than this.  Some of the famous paintings include "Berthe Morisot with a violet bouquet", which is also on the cover of the pamphlet, Monet Renoir Cezanne, Van Gogh, Gauguin Whistler, and Gustav Morrow. However, personally, the following two works were impressive. Emile Bernard Breton women with parasols Madeleine of Bois Damour (Forest of Love)  Leon Spilliart moonlight and lights  # Related HP

Andrea Bocelli

Andrea Bocelli Concert-Amore Under the Desert Sky, NHK BS 2 (Sunday, October 8, 2006) A program that was broadcast when I happened to be watching NHK the other day. Not only the beauty of the concert video, but also the songs and singing voice were very wonderful.  Looking at the following HP, it is said that this person is blind, but I did not notice it as far as I saw him singing. ⇒Related  HP

Proms

My first memory about "Proms"  was that when I stayed London for summer school about 1 month, some of  students were talking about Proms.  And recently I happend to watch BBC HP and found that I could hear all program of Proms from here . I recollected my London's memory after 16 years. What I felt at UK,also traveling around EU, was that music is a part of their life so I can hear very beautiful classic music played by young college students with violines, etc. I was deeply moved. As seen this Proms's program, there are of course standard music lineup but also latest ones like world premium of "The Little Mermaid" , so the width of variation makes me surprised.

With a song in my heart; Tonu Naissoo

This is a CD when I happend to hear at a CD shop ( JEUGIA ) at Umeda, Osaka. It is released from Sawano-kobo which is a lebel specialized in JAZZ music and this tonu naissoo trio is from Estonia (this lebel handle variou kind of JAZZ CD from all over the world) and the sound of piano is soft and easy to hear so I liked it.
